Among children, the rates of obesity have tripled during the last 20 years. One in 10 six-year-olds is obese.  Experts say that children should exercise between 60 and 90 minutes a day.

When most adults think about exercise, they imagine working out in the gym on a treadmill or lifting weights. But for children, exercise means playing and being physically active. Kids exercise when they do gym at school, football practice, dance class, swimming, riding bikes, or just running around in the park.  Get them outside and active!
