The construction of
Norwich Cathedral
began in 1068 but wasn't finally consecrated til 1101, a mere 900 years
ago. There are more than 1000 bosses on the roof timbers.
Open daily from 7.30am to 6pm. |

Norwich
Castle was built in 1067 when William the Conqueror (c.1027 - 1087)
ordered its construction in order to have a fortification in the city.
It has been used as a museum since 1894. One of the best things to
do in Norwich on a rainy day. |

Canaries have
played at Carrow Road since 1935. Its a great ground to watch football,

Elm Hill is a Tudor cobbled lane that was
largely rebuilt after the great fire of 1507, and there are more Tudor
Houses in this small Norwich street than in the City of London. Only 5
minutes walk from Norwich Cathedral |

The
Assembly House is a beautiful Georgian house on Theatre Street used
for weddings, concerts and exhibitions. Open from 9.30am to 8pm,
Monday to Saturday. |

Covering three floors within the stunning Forum building, discover
people, places and personalities. |

In 1585 the
Bridewell Museum was a prison for women and beggars (a ‘Bridewell’).
It became a museum in 1925 housing historic objects and machinery
revealing how Norwich people earned their living. |

Roman
Catholic Cathedral of St John the Baptist in Norwich is the second biggest
Catholic Cathedral in the UK. Built in 1910, it was only made a
cathedral in 1976 by the Pope. |

gallery, as well as housing the creative partnerships scheme and other
small creative industries. |

and archive material connected to the Regiment which illustrates its 300
